Privacy policy
Polstob sets no analytics cookies unless you say yes. Google Analytics runs in a privacy mode until then, and you can change your mind at any time.
The short version
Reading Polstob does not require an account, and we do not run advertising or advertising cookies.
We store one small cookie to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only after you choose “Accept analytics”.
Your cookie choice
The cookie polstob_consent stores only your choice (accepted or rejected) and the date it expires. It belongs to this site only and is not shared with anyone.
If you accept analytics, we remember that for 365 days. If you reject, we remember it for 30 days. After that we ask again. Visiting the site does not extend these periods.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Every page loads Google Analytics 4 in Google’s Consent Mode. Until you accept, it sets no cookies and sends only cookieless signals without identifiers, which Google uses for aggregate modelling. If you accept, it also uses cookies so we can understand which pages people read and how they find us. We measure page views, scrolling and clicks on links to other sites. Site search, forms, video, file downloads and history-based page views are not measured.
We send the page address without query strings or anchors, and only the domain of the site that referred you. Google Signals and ad personalisation are off, and advertising storage stays denied.
Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_DD0RHEJL8F, which expire no later than your consent. Google keeps the data for 14 months and may process it outside the EU/EEA. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Changing your mind
Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page to open the choice again and accept or reject analytics.
If you withdraw consent, analytics stops for all future page views and we delete the analytics cookies this site can access in your browser. Withdrawing does not erase data that was already sent to Google.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
