SoFi Technologies set out its first outlook for 2027 on 27 October 2026, alongside a higher 2026 guide, in its third-quarter results release. For 2027, management expects adjusted net revenue of about $6.4bn, which the company says would be growth of about 27%, adjusted EBITDA of about $2.24bn, adjusted net income of about $1.28bn and adjusted EPS of about $0.90. SoFi puts next year's adjusted EBITDA margin at about 35% and its adjusted net income margin at about 20%. The company gives no GAAP equivalents for these targets: it says it cannot predict some GAAP components with reasonable certainty, so the forward-looking non-GAAP figures are not reconciled.
The 2026 adjusted net revenue guide of about $5.04bn sits about $190m above the top of the range SoFi issued on 29 July 2026, by Polstob's calculation, and the company says it implies growth of about 40% year on year. Adjusted EBITDA is now seen at about $1.66bn, a margin of about 33%, against about $1.6bn in July. The new release says management "continues to expect" adjusted net income of about $840m, a margin of about 17%, and adjusted EPS of about $0.61, according to the October release; the July release had put those figures at about $825m and about $0.60. SoFi still expects total members to grow by at least 30% in 2026.
In the third quarter of 2026, GAAP total net revenue and adjusted net revenue (non-GAAP) both rose 44% from a year earlier, to $1.385bn from $961.6m and to $1.371bn from $949.6m respectively; the company described both as records. GAAP net income was $241.0m, or $0.18 per diluted share, against $139.4m, or $0.11, in the third quarter of 2025. Adjusted net income (non-GAAP) was $243.0m, also $0.18 per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA (non-GAAP) climbed 70% to $469.8m from $276.9m a year earlier, a margin of 34%. Net interest income reached $929.5m, up 59% year on year.
“Our focus is simple. We are adding more members, who are using more products, and generating more revenue per product to create the most value for our shareholders over the long run.”
Lending, the biggest segment by revenue, grew GAAP net revenue 66% year on year to $821.3m and adjusted net revenue (non-GAAP) 68% to $807.4m. Total loan originations rose 71% to $16.9bn, which SoFi called a record; personal loans made up $12.6bn, including $3.6bn originated for third parties through its Loan Platform Business. Financial Services segment net revenue grew 25% year on year to $525.1m. Technology Platform segment revenue fell 24% year on year to $87.4m; SoFi says a large client fully left the platform before 31 December 2025 and that, without that effect, the segment grew 18%. Year on year, members rose 35% to 17.1m and products 44% to 26.7m; total deposits grew $5.8bn in the quarter to $51.3bn.
